Post-Operative & Discharge Care

The first two weeks after discharge are the ones that matter.

Most readmissions come from what goes wrong at home — a missed medication, a wound nobody watched, a fall on the way to the bathroom. This is structured support through the recovery window, and then it ends.

How it works

  1. Send us the discharge summary

On WhatsApp, before or on discharge day. It tells us exactly what’s needed.

  2. We build the recovery plan

What help, for how long, and whether nursing is required alongside.

  3. Care starts at home

Ideally on discharge day, so the first twenty-four hours aren’t improvised.

  4. Step down

As recovery progresses the hours reduce. Most families move from full-day to day-only within two weeks.

Questions families ask

Can it start on discharge day itself?

Send us the discharge summary as soon as you have a date and we’ll work to it. The more notice you can give, the better the match.

Do we need a nurse or a caretaker?

It depends on the surgery. Wound and drain care needs a nurse; mobility, hygiene and medication support is a caretaker. Send the summary and we’ll tell you which.

What if we need to extend?

Just tell us. Recovery is unpredictable and extensions are completely normal.

How do you verify your caretakers and nurses?

Everyone we place goes through document verification, reference checks and police verification before they are placed with you. For nurses we additionally verify the qualification against their nursing registration.

How does pricing work?

It depends on the hours, the level of care, and whether the role needs a nurse or a caretaker. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we’ll share exact pricing — all-inclusive, GST included, no hidden costs.

What if the person isn’t the right fit?

Tell us and we’ll replace them at no extra cost. It usually happens in the first week if it happens at all, and it isn’t a problem — getting the match right matters more than getting it right first time.
