In Mangalore
The old arrangement was that the mother or mother-in-law moved in for the first few months. In Mangalore that is getting harder — the grandparents are older, or the couple has come back from Bangalore or the Gulf for the delivery and the family is spread out. A japa maid fills that gap without taking it over.
We place experienced japa maids who know the routine families here expect — the oil massage and bath for mother and baby, feeding support, swaddling, and the nights — and who speak the language of the house. Between them our Mangalore caregivers cover English, Kannada, Tulu, Konkani and Malayalam.
Most families book us before the delivery date and we start the day you are discharged from Father Muller, KMC, A.J. Hospital or Yenepoya. Booking late is fine too; we just have less choice of person. Yes — tell us which language the household speaks and we match for it. Our Mangalore caregivers between them speak English, Kannada, Tulu, Konkani and Malayalam, and language is usually the difference between a placement that settles in and one that does not.
A month before the due date gives you a proper choice of person. We can also place at a few days’ notice, including straight after a discharge, but the selection is narrower.
Most of our Mangalore enquiries come from sons and daughters working in Bangalore or the Gulf. You can arrange everything over WhatsApp from wherever you are, we send you the daily update, and we deal with your family locally. You do not have to fly down to set it up.

Everyone we place goes through document verification, reference checks and police verification before they are placed with you. For nurses we additionally verify the qualification against their nursing registration.
